Trader Joe's wine and cookies

It's no secret that I love Trader Joe's. It's our source for all of our basic staples: milk, eggs, yogurt, chicken, cheese, juice, dried fruit and nuts, salad greens and bananas. Oh yeah, and wine. Drinkable, cheap wine.

But oh, this Chariot red wine is something special. Seriously special. As in, it tastes as good--if not better--than any of the pricey wines I've ever had.

And then there are these "double stuf" Maple Leaf cookies, which are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of Trader Joe's Bedtime tea.

Both are limited edition items, so stock up now.

This post is a labor of love. No freebies or financial consideration involved.

This post is obviously a sign -- I picked up those maple cookies and put them in my cart on Saturday morning -- only to put them back on the shelf because I wasn't so sure.

Won't make that mistake again.

I brought home the Chariot wine last Saturday only to find that Rick had also purchased some during the week. Drank it on Sunday night. It was good! As for the maple leaf cookies, I had seen those all over souvenir stands in Ottawa and had passed. I'm sure they're a better deal at Trader Joe's.

Was just there yesterday, but didn't know about these little treasures. Maybe I'll have to stop by today to get them. Sounds awesome!

All of you that live by a Trader Joes are so lucky! When we were in Chicago in August we stocked up on some "2 Buck Chuck" which is decent drinkable wine. I would probably pass on the cookies as I would end up eating the entire bag.

You know I normally don't go over $5 when I'm in a cheapo TJ wine mood, but I'll bust out the extra buck for this rec. :-) Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the Chariot Gypsy as well, I ranked it #2 in my last Trader Joe's Top 10 Wine List. I grabbed two cases. Enjoy it while it last!

Indeed it is a nice store, I also buy some essentials for the house in there, they are cheap and have some good products.
