His wishes couldn't have been clearer. So finally we collared him, tagged him, attached a bell to him, and let Oscar outside. Fortunately he stays within 1 or 2 houses of our own and comes home on his own.I know we're taking a risk letting him out, but he seems so happy chasing moths, eating grass and resting under the shrubs, watching the world go by.

Cute kitty - we do the same with our cat - you CANNOT keep him in - he just isn't born to be indoors..
My childhood kitties roamed free. Sometimes for days. They lived long happy lives (17years each) and caught many "gifts" for us. I am glad your kitty is free.
