her third year in the same Montessori classroom, with the same, wonderful Directress, Z's got nothing to worry about. She is, however, going to be taking a full day of classes instead of "napping" after lunch. She'll be in Morning Montessori in a 3-6 year old classroom and then have two hours of afternoon coursework with the other 5-6 year olds. Yes, she's 4 until November, but she's already reading better than many 1st graders.
To quote Z this morning, "I'm ready for some new lessons!"

Geez! She has changed so much since I last saw her! I can't believe 5 is right around the corner...
That's awesome that she is reading so well. Did you work with her a lot or did she learn at school? Just curious. I had a friend whose daughter was reading Harry Potter when she was 4. I couldn't believe it. She said that her daughter basically taught herself, but I never understood how that could happen. Fill me in on your tricks!
